SYSTEM OF DIESEL INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE STARTING FREE OF ACCUMULATOR

The system consists of compressor with motor-operated crankshaft, automatic pressure control, propeller reduction gearbox, moisture-oil separator, air filters, two receivers, air distributor, inlet valves the number of which is equal to the number of engine cylinders, manometer, air-oil pipelines and air-starting valve. The operation of the system is the following.

The car driver makes compressed air accessible to the engine cylinders from the receivers through air distributor by the effect of the starting valve. It is performed by synchronous rotation of the motor-operated crankshaft wit the air-distributor core. Under the air pressure the cylinder valve opens and the air passes through the above piston space of each cylinder. Under the compressed air pressure motor-operated shaft is rotated and started. After starting of the engine the driver closes the starting. Valve and the supply of compressed air are stopped in cylinders. The engine goes on with operating in usual rhythm.

By starting of the engine compressor of the system BZD-1K is operated, taking purified air from induction manifold and pressing it in receivers. Passing through moisture-oil separator and filters the air is purified from moisture and remaining oil, and then it is concentrated on receivers. When maximum permissible pressure is obtained, automatic pressure control starts operating together with servo-valves for passing of the air into atmosphere. In this case the compressor is changed over power conditions (free running). Further operation period of the system will be repeated for each starting.
