1. Method of Diagnosis of the Nocturnal Enuresis
The problem of diagnosis of the nocturnal enuresis is still insoluble at the same time it is very important. The existing “Symptom of the Upper Palpebra” is extremely doubtful and subjective; therefore it is not satisfactory for the solution of so important home problem.
The proposed method gives us an opportunity to reveal exactly the existence of the nocturnal enuresis without any subjectivism.
2. Method and Device for Treatment of Nocturnal Enuresis
The children mainly have nocturnal urine and it is due to the function of encephalon when the corresponding centre doesn’t work.
The bases of our method of treatment are an elaboration of conditioned reflex for urination.
It is necessary to create serve outside stimulus at the moment of urination, light beam directed to the eyes of the sleeping patient; the ball and in some cases current. The stimulus force should be regulated.
Special sensor is made costing of two lead wire plates, between which the layer of cotton material is placed. By thin elastic wire the sensor plates are connected to the source of electric energy being equal to 12 volts. It is quite harmless for the organism. The sensor is placed between the patient’s legs near to the urination canal as much as possible. At the moment of urination the cotton later is moistened between the sensor electrodes by urine, the current is conducted, relay contacts are closed and outside stimulus is switched on, for example, a lamp or a bell and the patient wakes up. After several procedures the corresponding centre is operated in encephalon and conditioned reflex is elaborated for the urination sense, later without outside stimulus.
