Automatic complex of equipments for the measurement of the parameters of microwave antennae in short-range zone

The new method was proposed by RR and the complex of equipments was created for antenna measurements by which, in comparison with traditional ones, the capacity (fast response) of measurements is increased by 100 times and the precision – by 10 times at the distant zone.
According to co-coordinated technical target the development and the creation of the stationary portable equipment was proposed by RIR having a wide-range of waves-length (metric, decimetric, centimetric and milimetric) for all types of pencil-beam antennae with dimensions of apertures – 0.1-10 m having the following main specifications:
Defining parameters of antennae: radiation pattern (RP), antennae gain coefficient (GC), front-to-rear coefficient (FRC), effective area (EA), polarization coefficient (PC), dispersion coefficient (DC), the width of the beam; the phase RP, the location of the phase centre, amplitude and phase distribution in apertures and others;
Precise measuring of RP: 0.1 decibel (dB) – within 10dB; 0.2 dB – up to 20 dB; 0.4 dB – up to 30 dB; 0.8 dB – up to 40 dB; 1.5 dB – up to 50 dB.
The precise measuring of the angular coordinates of RP is 0.3 angle-min;
The precise measuring of phase RP – 4o;
The precise measuring of GC, FRC, EA, PC, and DC is 5%;
The full time measurement – 20-40 min;
The place for the equipment – the compartment free of echo with sizes from 4x5m to 15x20m (depending on antennae overall dimensions);
The cost of the project and manufacturing of one set is from 500 to 900 thousand dollars (depending on the requirements of the technical target)
