The elaboration regards the area of metallurgy for rare metals.
Armenia is rich with copper and molybdenum raw during treatment of which copper and molybdenum concretes are obtained. Except basic metals (copper and molybdenum) they contain a great amount of rare and noble metals (selenium, rhenium, tellurium, gold, and silver).
For metallurgic treatment of molybdenum concentrates selenium and rhenium are converted into roaster these gases in water towers selenium and rhenium are changed into acid washing solutions.

For the extraction of fine-dispersed selenium natural bentonite powder is added to acid solutions absorbing selenium. For full sedimentation of bentonite (polyacrylamide and others), then the pulp is filtered and the sediment is removed for selenium extraction.
For treatment of 1000 t concentrate 200 kg selenium can be extracted, the cost of which is the following: 27X200 = 540 US $.
For treatment of molybdenum concentrates at the Pure Iron Plant (Yerevan) (2,5-3,0 thousand about 600 kg of selenium per year is lost.
At the same time its simultaneous extraction from the solution will cost less than 1000US$ per year. Taking into consideration the fact that toxically compounds of selenium are harmful to the environment and the enterprise pays much penalty,
Actuality and profitless of simultaneous extraction of selenium is obvious from this concentrates.
The advantage of the proposed elaboration is in simplicity of apparatus design of the process and its less energy consumption is comparison with applied pyrometallurgic method based on sublimation of selenium from slags under high temperature by using expensive device.
The elaboration was exposed to semi industrial testing at the plant “Pobedit” (Vladicaucasus).
