Elaboration of Obtaining of Classified Filter Perlite Powder

In accordance with the requirement of Specifications 21-31-44-82 for filter
perlite powders:
- density, kt/m3 - till 120 (top quality), till 160 ( high quality) ;
- humidity and dry residual - till 1%
- content of floating particles - till 12%
- filter permeability (Darci) - not less than 1,0 (top quality), but less than 0,5 (high grade) ;
It becomes necessary to perform detailed testing of granulometric composition of perlite powders, which are produced in PA, in other to obtain the powders with high values of filter permeability and their compliance with International standards
according to above-mentioned parameters.
Specifically, on case-study of filter perlite powders, produced by CJ-SC “Ariko-Perlite”, it was revealed, that filter permeability, Darci was within 0,35 – 0,42, due to the incompatibility of the particle sizes of powder and their required number.
Due to rigid regulation of the particles sizes of the perlite powder, the necessity to observe quantitative (numerical) distribution by sizes and their ratio within 10 -110 mic, where particles of the sizes till 5 mic are fully lack, caused the development of the given technology. It is necessary to develop Complex Program on obtaining of classified (separated) non-perlite powders together with enterprises producing perlite powders and these ones, who are busy with their classification, including their pilot production.
In addition to the given proposal it is also important to widen the assortment of the producing perlite powders, which conform to different branches of industry.
